PRODUCTS
Kährs products are considered to be products of great quality. They are manufactured chiefly in three-ply and are available in one, two and three-strip versions.
Kährs products are mainly "floating", where the parquet boards are bonded together side by side and not to the underfloor. There are different types of bottom and middle layers, as well as different thicknesses. Linnea is a veneer product (i.e. with a thin top layer) and is performing very well. To view the Kahrs ranges please see below.
The company's wooden floors have been produced with the woodloc® joint since mid-2001, and has achieved market leadership in lock systems.

HARDNESS OF WOODS
Different wood species naturally have different degrees of hardness. For rooms exposed to a great deal of wear and tear, such as kitchens and hallways, it is wise to choose one of the harder wood species. Below you will find some other useful information to help in your choice of wood floor.
We want your Kährs floor to remain beautiful for many years. This is why we only produce floors in the harder wood species. The only exception is Birch, a medium-hard species that can look beautiful in a living room or bedroom but is less suitable in areas exposed to a lot of wear and tear, such as kitchens. The table compares the hardness of different wood species.

How thick is the floor?

Kahrs range includes many of the world's most beautiful species from the most exciting parts of the globe.
Kährs is determined to promote environmental awareness even in global terms. Tropical species in their range come from countries that are members of the International Tropical Timber Organisation (ITTO). All members of the organisation have pledged to work towards ecological forestry.
When purchasing tropical timber Kahrs also endeavour to purchase raw materials from responsibly managed forests. Suppliers will be chosen principally from those who hold an FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certificate or are able to demonstrate that they operate environmentally aware timber procurement.
